This MTB trail at Lake Como is a challenging route for mountainbikers and it lends itself to many variations of the panorama.
Starting from Gera Lario, the ascent is partly on tarmac trail and partly on dirt road. You will first reach Bugiallo at 680m.
The road that leads then to San Bartolomeo has a regular terrain while the one that leads to Alpe di Mezzo is more irregular.
There are pebbles and the slopes can reach peak of 15%.
You will pass through chestnut woods and a pinete forest to reach the pastures and a rich vegetation.
Once on the top you can enjoy the panorama in front of you, with a wonderful view of Lake Como and Lake Novate-Mezzola. A nice slope will wait for you on your way down, passing through Dalco and the nice mountains surrounding Montemezzo.
